When life gets foggy, and I doubt the promises the Lord made on my clearest days, I have learned to just pray, read, and rest in Him. I will plant His promises deep in my soul, even when life looks nothing like it was supposed to. His timing and His ways are better than mine anyway. I am not in control, so in these moments, I lay down control again and rest in Him.

In the midst of life's uncertainties, Gideon's story serves as a powerful reminder of God's heart for choosing the seemingly weak to accomplish mighty feats. Trusting and obeying the Lord can feel like navigating in the dark, with each step requiring faith before understanding. Gideon, faced with an army reduction that defied logic, had to trust God's plan even when it made zero sense. Likewise, in our own journeys, we may find ourselves grappling with God's directives that challenge our comprehension. Yet, in those moments, take heart and remember that God often works in the unexpected, choosing those who feel weakest to showcase His strength. So, if you're feeling the weight of doubt or uncertainty, embrace it, for it might be precisely when God is preparing to use you in remarkable ways. Keep praying, trusting, and surrendering to His guidance, even when the path ahead seems unclear. As the Psalm says, let the Lord's light guide each step, even if it's just a candle's glow in the dark, knowing that in surrender, there is a profound peace found in walking in step with Him.
