Navigating the Gray: In a World that Demands Black and White Thinking

Ever feel like your brain is a plane in constant circles, unable to find a place to land? That's my struggle—I see countless perspectives in every story. Empathy is my forte, understanding that opinions stem from various factors like upbringing, trauma, and culture. I get it all. The issue? I'm so caught up in understanding others that I've lost sight of my own viewpoint.

I often wonder if something's wrong with me. Why can't things be black and white? Personal development becomes a challenge—why should I follow someone else's idea of "optimal" living? Our culture praises performance, favoring those with clear-cut answers. Meanwhile, relational and contemplative individuals like me feel left behind.

For me, listening to the Lord and trusting my gut trumps personal development advice. Sure, tips are helpful, but isn't it overwhelming? So my challenge to all of us is to embrace our unique growth paths, respecting how we're wired. Imagine going back a century, relying on our instincts without constant input from social media and experts.

It's time to rediscover what truly matters to us, beyond the noise of external expectations.
