Embracing Life's Interruptions: Finding Peace and Abundance in the Unexpected

Today, just like any other day, I had big plans to be super productive. My Etsy shop is on a break right now, and I thought I'd make the most of this "extra" time. But, life as a mom of toddlers is anything but predictable.

So, this morning, after dropping off my older kids at school, my five-year-old was over the moon about using her Halloween Dunkin Donuts gift card. We swung by Dunkin, and she proudly ordered a small hot chocolate and a donut all by herself. It was adorable, and her day seemed to be off to a great start. I had big plans to tackle a bunch of stuff at home once we got back.

Surrender to your circumstances 💕

But, guess what? Life had other ideas. As soon as we walked through the front door, my little one took a tumble, and her hot chocolate ended up all over the floor. She was heartbroken. Homemade hot chocolate just wasn't going to cut it, so we cleaned up the mess and headed back out to get another one. And, of course, on the way, the baby decided it was nap time, throwing another wrench into my morning plans.

But, here's the thing. I've been learning to roll with the punches and embrace life's interruptions. There's often unexpected joy hidden in those detours. I'm getting better at not holding onto my plans too tightly and trusting that life's curveballs can also be full of goodness.

In the past, I would have been angry about that spilled hot chocolate. I'd be stressed out, and I'd do everything in my power to stick to my original plans.

Now, I'm making room for flexibility. I'm letting the spirit guide me, and I can't even begin to tell you how much peace it's bringing me. It's a kind of peace that doesn't depend on circumstances – it's beyond understanding.

So, my advice to you is this: Be kind to yourself when things go off track. If you have little ones at home, don't set unrealistic expectations for your day. Leave space for the unexpected. Embrace it. There's abundance to be found in every situation. 💖✨
